Cellular Goods PLC (LSE:CBX) has announced the departure of its chief operating officer and the appointment to a new senior role – chief supply chain officer.
COO Eric Chang, who was instrumental in bringing the company to the market, will leave on April 15 after 14 months with the business. He will not be replaced.
"On behalf of Cellular Goods, I would like to thank Eric for his excellent work and wish him well in all his future endeavours,” said chief executive Anna Chokina in a statement.
“Eric worked tirelessly to bring Cellular Goods to the London Stock Exchange and to support the launch of our inaugural product ranges.”
Cellular is creating the new role of chief supply chain officer to “strengthen the operational management team, improve efficiency in delivering the company's strategy and reduce its cost base”.
The position will be filled by Nikhil Vijayan, who has more than 14 years of experience with companies such as Procter & Gamble (NYSE:PG) and Deloitte.
“His appointment as chief supply chain officer is a great step towards achieving our growth plans,” said CEO Chokina.
“He brings a wealth of experience in developing and managing supply chains for global consumer brands.
“His expertise will not only ensure that we can continue delivering high-quality products to our customers, but it will also be key to the successful launch of new products this year and beyond."
