Capita says David Lowden to succeed Sir Ian Powell as chairman

A new independent director is being sought to succeed Lowden

Capita PLC (LSE:CPI) said Sir Ian Powell is to step down as chairman of the company, to be replaced with David Lowden.

Lowden is currently an independent director.

Powell announced his intention to not run for re-election at the annual general meeting on May 10, 2022.

During his tenure as chairman, Powell improved Capita's balance sheet and oversaw its transformation, the company said in a statement.

Lowden served as chairman of Huntsworth (LSE:HNT) and chief executive of Taylor Nelson Sofres. Currently, he serves as chairman of diploma, senior independent director of Morgan Sindall, and chairman of PageGroup until April 30, 2022.

A new independent director is being sought to succeed Lowden.
