Nuclear industry executives will hold talks with Boris Johnson next week as the prime minister seeks to make Britain more energy independent following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Sky News reported.
Companies including Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC (LSE:RR.) and EDF will be among attendees at a roundtable in Downing Street on Monday, Sky said, citing unnamed industry sources.
The meeting is expected to focus on how to hasten the delivery of new energy capacity amid concerns that it’s been too slow, according to the report.
Downing Street and the companies decline to comment, Sky News said.
