Polymetal International PLC (LSE:POLY), the Russia-focused miner, announced four appointments of independent non-executive directors to its board after six directors resigned last week.
Janat Berdalina, Steven Dashevsky, Evgueni Konovalenko and Paul J Ostling have joined the board with effect from 17 March 2022, the company said in a statement.

Following the appointments, Polymetal’s board will consist of seven members, of which five are independent non-executive directors.
Berdalina is an audit, reporting, tax and management consulting professional, with experience from KPMG in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, as well as the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange, KazTransGas, Kazpost.
Dashevsky is an investment professional with more than 20 years of experience in financial markets. He works as the CEO of D&P Advisors LLP, a UK-based, FCA-regulated investment management company.
Konovalenko has extensive experience in investment banking and since 2005 has held various executive positions in Renaissance Capital, including current role of managing director, head of international equities and FICC Sales.
Ostling is a seasoned executive with more than 30 years of experience in Russia and Eastern Europe with E&Y.
Last week the company said it continued to be unaffected by ongoing international sanctions, was complying "rigorously" with all relevant legislation and implementing measures to observe all applicable sanctions, with the board believing that targeted sanctions on the company were "unlikely, but [...] not impossible".
It said its operations in Russia and Kazakhstan were undisrupted and that it had continued to sell bullion and concentrate from Kazakhstan "as usual", while regarding sales from Russia to Kazakhstan, China and East Asia Company it "received assurances from off-takers that all existing contracts continue in good standing".
Shares in the company fell more than 90% in the days following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, but have been climbing higher in recent days.
