While not it's only focus, Hydrix produces technologies to help support and manage patients with cardiovascular disease, specifically the AngelMed Guardian – a cardiac monitoring device that alerts patients to the risk of a cardiac event – and the Phyzhon surgical guide wire, which aids in the surgical placement of stents.
Given that over a third of heart attacks are repeat events, and over half are ‘silent’ heart attacks without symptoms, Hydrix is addressing a largely unmet need.
