Aldoro Resources hits pegmatites in majority of resource drilling holes at Niobe Project

Aldoro has completed the final stage of drilling at the Niobe Project in preparation for a mineral resource estimate, intersecting pegmatites in the majority of holes drilles at better-than-expected widths.

Aldoro Resources Ltd (ASX:ARN) has completed a 65-hole mineral resource drilling program to further define mineralisation at the Niobe Rubidium-Lithium-Tantalum Project in WA, intersecting prospective pegmatites in the majority of holes drilled, often at multiple levels below the surface.

Aldoro says it is encouraged by the results from this final stage of drilling, with intersections confirming data gleaned from historical drilling.

Sample testing ongoing

Pegmatite intersections have continued to be as thick or thicker than expected, with full details to be announced once detailed logging, X-ray Fluorescence testing (pXRF), and quality assurance and quality control checks are completed.

The company has also identified abundant mica species in geological logs, indicating more pegmatites may be hosted in the stratigraphy and further encouraging investigation of the Niobe Dyke system.

A pXRF program is now being completed, gathering data from each metre interval of reverse circulaton (RC) drill core to fast-track interpretation and planning. The results of the pXRF readings will be reported as they come to hand.

With the Niobe drilling program completed, Aldoro is now preparing to deliver a JORC-compliant mineral resource estimate when all assay results have been received.

The RC rig has demobilised to return to the Wyemandoo Project, where an extensive greenfields drill program has been planned.

About Aldoro Resources

Aldoro Resources is a mineral exploration and development company with a collection of nickel/copper/platinum group metal (PGM) focused exploration projects and advanced rubidium exploration projects in Western Australia.

The company’s flagship nickel/copper/PGM project is the Narndee Project, where initial drilling of the first of more than a dozen targets has intersected nickel sulphides.

Aldoro is also exploring the Niobe Rubidium/Lithium/Tantalum Project and is encouraged by the very high grades of rubidium at the at-surface deposit which extends over multiple kilometres.

The company’s other projects include the Cathedrals Belt Nickel Project (nickel-copper-PGM), with a significant tenement holding surrounding St George Mining’s Mt Alexander Project, the Leinster Nickel Project and Windimurra Igneous Complex (nickel-copper-PGM, lithium).
