GGX Gold reports assays from last year's Gold Drop drilling with Perky vein a highlight

At the property in the Greenwood camp, 25 drill holes were sunk for 1,616.8m before work was suspended due to the risk of wildfire

GGX Gold Corp. (TSX-V:GGX) has posted drill results from last year's exploration at the Gold Drop project in British Columbia, which included 12.6 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 0.3 metres (m) in a hole at the Perky vein.

At the property in the Greenwood camp, 25 drill holes were sunk for 1,616.8m before work was suspended due to the risk of wildfire.

The first 12 holes were at the Perky vein to test the northern extension. Another 12 were sunk at the Lively vein and a further hole tested for a northern extension of the COD vein.

The Perky vein produced the most significant result at 12.6 grams per tonne gold (above) and 120 g/t silver and 99.3 parts per million (ppm) tellurium over 0.3m from 5.26m depth.

Other Perky intercepts confirmed that mineralized extensions to this vein may still be found.

Highlight assays from the Lively vein included 3 g/t gold, 32.4 g/t silver and 43.2 ppm tellurium over 0.72m from 4.93m depth in one hole.

Plans are now being formulated for the 2022 field season, said GGX.

"Areas of interest for drilling include the Highland Valley vein, Ken vein, North Star and Gold Drop mine areas and possible drilling to intersect the deep extension of the Dentonia vein," it added.

Gold Drop is a high-grade, near-surface asset, which was mined intermittently from 1919 to the 1980s. Historical production was 7,572 tonnes at an average grade of 5.2 grams per ton (g/t) of gold and 93.4 g/t of silver, with the majority of production coming before 1942.
