PlantX Life Inc has announced the launch of same-day delivery for its grocery products across the Canadian cities of Ottawa and Toronto.
The company said same-day delivery is a key component of its goal of diversifying its on-demand delivery solutions to better service online customers across Ontario, as well as to enhance the e-commerce impact of its retail stores.
“Expanding same-day delivery service to Ontario will help us leverage the combined impact of our e-commerce acumen and our in-store expertise,” PlantX Life CEO Lorne Rapkin said in a statement.

“This will ensure that we continue to capitalize on the opportunities offered by the growing retail landscape,” Rapkin added.
The company noted that beyond creating signature PlantX community hubs to drive in-store foot traffic, the brick-and-mortar locations will also act as e-commerce fulfillment and marketing hubs to boost shopping traffic on its digital platforms.
It added that distribution for same-day delivery will be available through third-party delivery apps.
PlantX styles itself as the digital face of the plant-based community with a one-stop destination for all things plant-based, like an online shop and meal delivery services.
The online shop houses over 5,000 vegan products, and its recently added meal service delivers chef-created dishes straight to the doors of Western Canada. The company offers more than 10,000 plant-based products.
