Bytes Technology Group PLC (LSE:BYIT, JSE:BYI), the UK-focused cloud and security software services provider, said growth accelerated in the second half of its year to end-February.
Shares in the London- and Johannesburg-listed company, which was demerged from African parent Altron Electronics in December 2020, jumped 10% to 463.6p on Wednesday morning.
Bytes, which is one of Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)'s largest partners in the UK, said gross invoiced income rose more than 26% to around £1.2bn, with adjusted operating profit growing roughly 23% and £68mln of cash on the balance sheet at year-end.
Chief executive Neil Murphy said the company was making further investments in staff as the past year has seen Bytes “continuing to strengthen its market position in cloud, security and annuity software and services, working with some of the world's most successful software companies”.
