Potent Ventures Inc. (CSE:POT), which is in the process of changing its name to The Gummy Project Inc, said it has activated its previously-announced partnership with OCEARCH, a global non-profit organization conducting unprecedented research on shark populations in order to accelerate the ocean's return to balance and abundance.
The company said it is also supporting OCEARCH's efforts by donating $15,000 towards Expedition Carolinas, which is focused on determining where North Atlantic White Sharks mate.
“We are thrilled to put our partnership with OCEARCH into action and seize this opportunity to inspire a global network to participate in Expedition Carolinas through a unique giving campaign,” The Gummy Project CEO Charlie Lamb said in a statement.

“This is a strong first step for our Partnership with OCEARCH which we hope will inspire others to contribute to the Expedition Carolinas and OCEARCH,” Lamb added.
Potent Ventures noted it expects the partnership with OCEARCH will build awareness for The Gummy Project, providing education and consumer engagement content, while delivering data to manage threatened shark populations.
OCEARCH’s research on sharks will be supported by The Gummy Project's initial product line of shark gummies.
The company’s donation will be made through a matching gift campaign that will kick off March 22, 2022.
Potent Ventures - formerly Weekend Unlimited Industries Inc - plans to focus on the formulation and distribution of low sugar plant-based gummy products with additional product launches expected to incorporate vitamins, adaptogens, other nutraceutical ingredients, and wellness products.
The Gummy Project's initial launch will feature two endangered Keystone species - sharks and bees. Long term, the Gummy Project aspires to develop a robust endangered Keystone Species product mix, connecting with consumers through content, merchandise and live experiences that support conservation efforts with these endangered species and their ecosystems.
