Magmatic Resources Ltd (ASX:MAG) welcomes a new managing director, Dr Adam McKinnon, who starts today in the role.
Dr McKinnon is an exploration and mining professional with an extensive record of discovery in Central West New South Wales.
In his previous role as general manager, exploration and business development, at Aurelia Metals Ltd (ASX:AMI), he managed a $20-million-plus yearly exploration budget, including the discovery and subsequent growth of the exceptionally high-grade Federation deposit in the south-eastern Cobar Basin.
McKinnon’s work at Aurelia Metals saw him honoured as a finalist in the AMEC (ASX:111) Prospector Award in 2020 and he again represented Aurelia as a finalist in the NSW Explorer of the Year Awards last year.
McKinnon has also worked with CBH Resources (ASX:CBH) and KBL Mining (ASX:KBL) in the NSW Central West, during a time when the high-grade Pearse gold-silver deposit at the Mineral Hill Mine near Condobolin was discovered.
