Infinity Lithium Corporation Ltd (ASX:INF) has appointed Ramón Jiménez Serrano as CEO of the company’s Spanish subsidiary Extremadura New Energies.
Serrano has a wealth of experience in management, overseeing seven years of significant growth as CEO of Acciona Industrial, a world-leading infrastructure and construction company.
At Acciona, he led the way into new business lines such as waste to energy, biomass, biofuels, photovoltaic and hydrogen projects globally.
“It is an honour to be part of Extremadura New Energies and a technologically pioneering project like the one in San José, a one-of-a-kind project,” said Serrano.
Serrano previously held CEO roles for Tedagua and Cobra where he oversaw the construction of a number of water and energy infrastructure projects both in Extremadura, Spain and internationally.
Proven leader
Infinity CEO Ryan Parkin said the company was excited to have a proven leader shape the next steps in the progression of San José and the alignment of the major European lithium industrial project to the local community of Caceres.
Members of the board of Infinity spent several weeks in Spain engaging with local stakeholders whilst finalising the executive search process leading to the appointment of the new CEO of Extremadura New Energies.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ramón to Extremadura New Energies, and it’s clear we will benefit greatly from his vast global experiences in leading and advancing projects across multiple industries,” Parkin said.
