Gensource Potash says Canadian potash suppliers are 'critical' to replace Russia, Belarus supply

Gensource Potash says Canadian potash suppliers are 'critical' to replace Russia, Belarus supply

Gensource Potash CEO Mike Ferguson tells Proactive the Saskatoon, Saskatchewan-based fertilizer development company that Canadian potash suppliers have become 'critical' to replace Russian supply, who together with Belarus, a country that is already facing US sanctions, controls 40% of the world's supply. Ferguson says he does not believe there is sufficient capacity to make up for all sanctions imposed on the fertilizer, which may lead to a tight potash supply and sustained higher prices. Gensource is currently advancing development of its potash-focused Tugaske Project in Canada.
