Bango PLC (AIM:BGO, OTCQX:BGOPF) said the front cover artwork on its 2021 annual report is available as a range of ultra-limited non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
Proceeds from the sale of the NFTs will go directly to the Disaster Emergency Committee, which is coordinating the provision of relief to the refugee crisis caused by the war in Ukraine.
The data-driven commerce company said the move would allow collectors and investors to own a unique version of the artwork, recorded and registered as theirs alone.
The NFTs are available through the OpenSea NFT marketplace ( Bango Limited Edition Collectibles - Collection | OpenSea ), and are priced between 0.1 ETH (Ethereum) and 1.0 ETH at release.
"This is the first time, to the best of my knowledge, that a company has incorporated imagery that is both informative and collectable into the way it reports its business," said Ray Anderson, the executive chair at Bango.
"Bango technology has quickly found favour with companies enabling NFTs to be traded, who want to find new users and collectors and to simplify payments for their customers. It seems very appropriate for a unique Bango asset to become available as an NFT," he added.
