EN+'s director has resinged as the company said it was mulling the straegy for its Russian aluminium company Rusal.
Greg Baker resigned following heavy pressure from fellow members of the House of Lords, who criticised his involvement with the Russian-linked group, with some senior MPs calling for him to lose his peerage.
Lord Barker will be replaced by Christopher Bancroft Burnham as chairman of the aluminium producer after a short transitionary period.
The group also said it was mulling its stratgey for Rusal, its Russian arm, including the possibility of carving out Rusal's international business, which includes Europe, Australia and Africa, with a view to creating a subsidiary with no Russian involvement.
There are reports that Lord Barker would oversee these operations as the group tries to pivot from its links to Russia.
Trading was suspended in EN+ on the London Stock Exchange along with several other Russian-linked firms last Wednesday to "maintain orderly markets".
