Mode Global Holdings PLC (LSE:MODE, OTCQB:MODGF) named Rita Liu as its new chief executive officer with immediate effect.
Liu joins the fintech company having held leadership positions at Alipay, before joining the board at Mode as chief commercial officer in March 2020.
The London-listed company said she will be responsible for “driving Mode forward and ensuring the company delivers on its short-term growth targets, as well as its long-term vision to become a disruptor that bridges fintech and crypto.”
Its technology officer, Jonathan Conway, was also appointed to its executive board with immediate effect.
Conway has experience across fintech, payments, and crypto, and the company hopes his addition “underlines Mode’s commitment to building the best technology to help the company’s growth.”
According to a statement, these appointments should help the company focus its strategy to become the “UK’s leading regulated all-encompassing crypto app.”
“The appointment of Rita as CEO and Jonathan to the board is part of the next exciting phase of growth for Mode,” said chief executive Jonathan Rowland.
"We are excited for this next phase of Mode. 2022 will be a year of execution and growth, and our team is fully committed to deliver," Rowland added.
