Cooper Metals encouraged by robust EM conductors at Mt Isa Copper-Gold Project

Cooper Metals encouraged by robust EM conductors at Mt Isa Copper-Gold Project

Cooper Metals Ltd (ASX:CPM)’s Ian Warland talks geophysical survey results from the Python and King Solomon prospects of the Mt Isa East Copper-Gold Project in north-western Queensland.

The company is particularly interested in an electromagnetic (EM) conductor identified beneath the Python prospect – modelled at about 400 metres in length and 100 metres deep down-dip – which is coincident with a north-westerly trending fault that has potential to host gold-copper mineralisation.

At King Solomon Cooper Metals is working to find the ‘sweet spot’ in a 1.2-kilometre mineralised trend, with coincident EM conductors identified in the same round of geophysics.

From here the company will conduct surface surveying to identify any outcropping mineralisation and design a drilling campaign to explore the new targets.
