Nuformix PLC (LSE:NFX) has appointed Dr Dan Gooding, a co-founder and former chief executive, as a consultant.
The pharmaceutical company focuses on fibrosis and oncology treatment via drug repurposing.
Gooding instigated the company’s NXP002 programme, which is an inhaled therapy for treating Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Dr Alastair Riddell, executive chairperson, said: "The recent positive pre-clinical studies on NXP002 warrant the progression of further product development and commercial discussions with licensing partners.
“Dr Gooding brings significant corporate history and experience to the table which will help facilitate these activities.”
The company also said Wednesday it was “progressing well” in its search for a new chief executive, with an announcement to come in due course.
