Klondike Gold hits encouraging results with Phase 3 drilling at Stander Zone in the Yukon

The assays come from a Phase 3 drill program comprising 20 holes at the zone in 2021, which targeted two sub-areas - main and east - which are separated by around 2,500 metres along strike

Klondike Gold Corp has reported more drill results from its huge Klondike District project in Yukon, which shows the Stander Zone hosts 'significant near-surface' gold mineralization which is expandable and open in all directions.

The assays come from a Phase 3 drill program comprising 20 holes at the zone in 2021, which targeted two sub-areas - main and east - which are separated by around 2,500 metres (m) along strike.

Highlights included a length of 21.34m at 3.36 grams per ton (g/t) gold, starting from a depth of 32m in one hole. That was within a longer intercept of 48m starting from 32m to 80m depth at 1.55 g/t of the yellow metal.

"The company is well-positioned to rapidly advance the Lone Star Zone as one among a number of 'pipeline' targets within our district-spanning 586 square kilometer claim package that has excellent access to existing highway, power, communications, commercial airport and town infrastructure," said Peter Tallman, Klondike Gold's CEO in a statement.

Nearly all Phase 3 holes in both sub-areas of the Stander Zone hit broad intervals of between 0.15 g/t gold and 0.60 g/t gold. This gold mineralization is considered to be a mineralized halo around a central core of intense quartz veining and higher-grade gold deposition.

Klondike said it was receiving final assays from its Phase 3 and Phase 4 2021 drill programs which concluded in October last year. The full Phase 3 results were reported today and Phase 4 will be forthcoming in the days ahead, it added.

SRK Consulting of Toronto is preparing an NI 43-101 report summarizing geology and exploration on the company's project, which is nearly complete.

Klondike Gold Corp is a Vancouver-based explorer advancing its 100%-owned Klondike District gold project in Dawson City, Yukon - one of the top mining jurisdictions in the world.
