Cabral Gold releases "highly encouraging" metallurgical results showing up to 97% gold recoveries at MG deposit

Cabral also revealed new drill results from MG highlighted by 6 metres at 8.6 grams per ton (g/t) gold, including 1.5 metres at 32.6 g/t gold

Cabral Gold Inc (TSX-V:CBR) has unveiled positive metallurgical results for the MG deposit that returned up to 97% gold recoveries over 48 hours.

Bottle roll tests of all six of the soil, colluvium blanket and basement saprolite samples had recoveries exceeding 90% regardless of grade, according to the Vancouver-based company.

CEO Alan Carter called the results from the target on the company’s Cuiú Cuiú property in northern Brazil “highly encouraging.”

“The next step is to subject the samples to column leach tests, and those results should be available during May,” Carter said in a statement.

Cabral also revealed new drill results from MG highlighted by 6 metres at 8.6 grams per ton (g/t) gold, including 1.5 metres at 32.6 g/t gold.

The promising result helps define the high-grade zone within the primary deposit, and extends the central high-grade zone 100 metres further west than previously known, Cabral told shareholders.

“The drill results from the underlying primary MG deposit continue to outline a central high-grade core to the primary hard-rock MG gold deposit with the mineralized zones all open at depth,” Carter added.

Other drill results include 7.3 metres at 1.3 g/t gold, including 1.4 metres at 4.9 g/t gold, and 32.7 metres at 0.4 g/t gold in the gold-in-oxide blanket overlying the primary deposit.

Results are pending on another six diamond drill holes at MG, and drilling is continuing, the company said. Results are also expected from five holes at the Central deposit and the PDM target.
