Ethernity Networks unveils new tech ahead of industry showcase

“Ethernity offers service providers more flexibility and choice in which wired or wireless radios they use in planning their network infrastructure," said chief executive David Levi.

Ethernity Networks Ltd (AIM:ENET) has unveiled an upgrade to its current universal edge device, a UEP2025 cell site router (CSR).

"UEP2025 is the ultimate tool in enabling a truly disaggregated radio access network,” said chief executive David Levi.

The UEP2025 features clock sync, security, power over ethernet, and the company's patented link bonding over a combination of wired or wireless links to any vendor's radio units, the company highlighted in a statement.

As an upgrade on its existing and currently available Universal Edge Platform, the company said that its link bonding solution differentiates itself from traditional L1 bonding in that it enables an open, unlimited connection.

Moreover, the company said that it is programmable makes it futureproof and capable of incorporating any future feature requirements.

“While other vendors have L1 bonding features, they lock the service providers into using their proprietary radio,” Levi added.

“Ethernity offers service providers more flexibility and choice in which wired or wireless radios they use in planning their network infrastructure."

The company noted that it will be promoting UEP2025 and its other 5G system solutions at the Mobile World Congress, in Barcelona, from February 28 to March 3 along with and at WISPAmerica in New Orleans, from March 15 to March 17.
