Anson Resources escalates resource expansion work at Paradox Lithium Project in Utah, US

Anson will re-drill the Cane Creek 32-1 well, Long Canyon No.2 well, Mineral Canyon, and Sunburst 1 wells as part of a project-wide expansion strategy targeting the large Mississippian brine aquifer, which the company hopes to convert into

Anson Resources Ltd (ASX:ASN) has moved to increase a resource expansion program at the Paradox Lithium Project in Utah, US, with targeted re-drilling of the Cane Creek 32-1 well.

The company's re-drilling will target the large Mississippian brine aquifer, which has a lithium-rich zone about 100 metres to 250 metres thick, compared to the 10-metre-thick Clastic Zone 31 the well currently has access to.

Anson has already submitted an Application Permit to Drill for the Cane Creek 32-1 well.

The re-entry of the Cane Creek 32-1 well, Long Canyon No.2 well, Mineral Canyon and Sunburst 1 wells collectively form part of Anson’s combined ‘Eastern’ and ‘Western’ expansion strategy at the project, designed to add material increases and upgrade the Paradox resource.

Paradox expansion program

The coring and sampling of the large Mississippian brine aquifer is a core objective for the resource expansion program.

A large exploration target (conceptual in nature) has been defined for the aquifer, which was intersected during historical oil exploration but only sampled once within the project area.

If Anson is successful, the proposed drilling and sampling could result in the recovery of valuable porosity and specific yield data, along with lithium assays and the conversion of a large portion of the Paradox Mississippian Exploration Target into an indicated and inferred resource.

The company intends to leverage results from the proposed drill program in an ongoing details feasibility study (DFS) and to continue the development of the Paradox Lithium Project into a substantial lithium producing operation.

About Anson Resources

Anson Resources is developing its flagship Paradox Basin Brine Project in southern Utah in the US for the recovery of valuable chemicals from a unique salt brine resource.

Besides the brine project, Anson is also exploring base metal projects in Western Australia with a strong focus on the Bull Project, which is along strike of Chalice Mining’s high-grade nickel-copper-platinum group elements (PGE) Julimar discovery.
