New Pacific Metals sees broad gold mineralization and encouraging grades in new drill results from Carangas project

All of the 25 drill holes received so far intersected silver-rich polymetallic mineralization near surface with some deep holes intersecting a wide zone of gold mineralization below

New Pacific Metals (TSX:NUAG, NYSE:NEWP) Corp revealed new drill results that showcased broad gold mineralization and strong grades at its Carangas project in Bolivia.

Highlights from the results include 139.96 metres (m) grading 34 grams per ton (g/t) silver (Ag), 0.33% lead (Pb) and 0.94% zinc (Zn), and a second interval of 322.91 m grading 1.03 g/t gold (Au) and 12 g/t Ag, including a high grade interval of 141.11 m grading 1.78 g/t Au and 12 g/t Ag.

Another hole intersected an interval of 292.22 m grading 62 g/t Ag, 0.02 g/t Au, 0.56% Pb, and 0.85% Zn, which includes a high-grade interval of 173.17 m grading 102 g/t Ag, 0.77% Pb and 1.13% Zn for a silver equivalent of 166 g/t.

All of the 25 drill holes received so far intersected silver-rich polymetallic mineralization near surface with some deep holes intersecting a wide zone of gold mineralization below, New Pacific told shareholders.

The most recent drill holes are relatively shallow in depth and intersected broad silver-rich mineralization near surface, the company added.

Two drill rigs are currently turning and a third rig will be added at the property after the end of the rainy season in March. An initial 30,000-metre drill program is planned for 2022, which could be extended to at least 40,000 metres if drill results continue to be encouraging, New Pacific said.

All of Vancouver-based New Pacific’s mineral properties are located in Bolivia, including its flagship Silver Sand project.
