Goldseek Resources Inc announced that it has begun a 4,000-metre (m) drill program at its Beschefer gold project in Quebec.
The company said a combination of infill and expansion targets are planned with a focus on extending the historical high-grade zones that included 55.6 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 5.6 metres (m).
“We are excited to start our winter follow-up drill program on the Beschefer Project, which has demonstrated size and grade potential,” Goldseek Resources CEO Jon Deluce said in a statement.
“We look forward to building on the success of our maiden drill program highlighted by 4.92 g/t gold over 28.65 metres, including 11.39 g/t gold over 9.1 metres, which is the 2nd best intercept on the property to date,” Deluce added.

Goldseek noted that its goal is to drill 10,000m at Beschefer in 2022, while targeting a maiden resource estimate towards the end of the year.
The company added that it hopes to release first assay results towards the end of March.
The Beschefer asset is an advanced gold exploration project in the Detour gold trend near Wallbridge Mining’s Fenelon gold project.
The company says the mineralization there shows high-grade gold-bearing structures hosted in a lower grade envelope, highlighting the regional potential along already defined shear zones.
Goldseek Resources is a Canadian exploration company with a portfolio of assets in Ontario and Quebec, Canada. The company's mission is to find the next major discovery in the mining camps of Urban Barry, Quevillon, Val D’Or, and Detour Gold Trend in Quebec and Hemlo in Ontario.
