Benchmark Metals says latest drill results from Cliff Creek deposit at Lawyers show potential for open pit and underground mining

The latest assays come from four holes across 750 metres of strike in British Columbia between the so-called Cliff Creek North (CCN) and Cliff Creek Mid zones, and showed broad areas of both bulk-tonnage and high-grade mineralization

Benchmark Metals Inc has posted more positive drill results from its flagship Lawyers project, this time from the Cliff Creek deposit, which show potential for open pit and underground mining in the area.

The latest assays come from four holes across 750 metres (m) of strike in British Columbia between the so-called Cliff Creek North (CCN) and Cliff Creek Mid zones, and showed broad areas of both bulk-tonnage and high-grade mineralization.

Highlights included a length of 118m in one hole, starting from just 11m depth, which hit 2.23 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 25.01 g/t silver. That intercept included 5.05m (from 79m depth) at 22.64 g/t gold and 89.58 g/t silver.

Also in the statement, Benchmark told investors that all drill results had now been received for the AGB deposit at Lawyers and that modeling had begun ahead of an expanded resource estimate.

"The new Cliff Creek drilling is providing gold and silver from surface to depth and is indicating significant high-grade material below the open pits," said Benchmark CEO John Williamson in a statement.

"Mineralization in Cliffs North area is now drill defined to over 550 metres vertical depth. The new results have potential to pull the pit-shell below 340 metres depth as defined by last year's pit constrained MRE shell. P&E Engineering has begun work for the updated MRE with all final drill results expected within the next two weeks," he added.

The company also noted that over 10,000m of drilling in 2022 at Lawyers has continued to expand mineralization in "multiple deposit areas". The focus has been on expanding the Dukes Ridge Deposit, Marmot Zone, Cliff Creek South Deposit and the Connector Zone.

Two rigs are currently turning at the Dukes Ridge deposit, which is providing significant expansion with mineralization extending to over 250m vertical depth.

Benchmark Metals is advancing its wholly-owned owned Lawyer's project, which sits in the prolific Golden Horseshoe of northern British Columbia. The project consists of three mineralized deposits that remain open for expansion, in addition to over 20 new target areas along a 20 kilometre trend.
