The Crypto Report: Bitcoin and Ethereum tumble, Bored Ape owner sues OpenSea for $1M

Crypto currencies slumped for a sixth day, mirroring a rout in global equity markets, as Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered troops into Ukraine. Bitcoin fell 6.16%, to US$36,819, raising concern the biggest digital token by market value could revisit the 6 month-lows seen in January. Smaller peer Ethereum was down 7.98% at US$2,522.

The owner of a 'Bored Ape' non-fungible token is suing platform OpenSea amid claims a bug in the system meant he unwittingly sold the in demand primate NFT for well-below its market value. Timothy McKimmy filed a complaint against OpenSea in a Texas Court claiming his Bored Ape #3475 NFT was sold without his knowledge for around $26 and then resold for $250,000, according to a report in Decrypt, citing the legal documents. He is seeking the return of the NFT or more than $1mln in damages, according to the report.
