Red River Resources hits high-grade polymetallic results at Liontown, adding potential for resource growth

Red River will continue resource delineation and extensional drilling over the next 12 months.

Red River Resources Ltd has hit more high-grade polymetallic mineralisation, including gold, at Liontown within its Thalanga Operation in Queensland adding the potential for resource growth.

Final results were received from a multipurpose reverse circulation drilling program, which has rapidly increased the knowledge of the oxide gold, Gap and Western footwall.

Liontown contains a sulphide mineral resource of 4.1 million tonnes at 0.6% copper, 1.9% lead, 5.9% zinc, 1.1 g/t gold and 29 g/t silver for 12.7% zinc equivalent.

Red River will continue resource delineation and extensional drilling over the next 12 months.

Results

Red River completed 5,697 metres of drilling at Liontown and 1,928 metres on the Cougartown, Cougartown West and Max-Gold satellite prospects.

Two diamond drill rigs are in operation undertaking resource definition and extensional drilling through 2022.

Assays are pending for 13 completed holes and results will be shared when available.

Mineral resource (gold oxide) infill holes include:

➢ 10 metres at 2.7 g/t gold from 41 metres downhole (LLRC224 – New Queen east);

➢ 6 metres at 3.6 g/t from 22 metres (LLRC223 – New Queen east);

➢ 5 metres at 3.1 g/t from 25 metres (LLRC208 – New Queen west);

➢ 15 metres at 1.9 g/t from 46 metres (LLRC221 – Main Lode); and

➢ 4 metres at 4.3 g/t from 48.0 metres (LLRC204 – Main Lode).

Mineral resource (fresh sulphides) infill hole results include:

➢ 10 metres at 9.1% zinc equivalent from 87 metres downhole (LLRC202 - New Queen resource);

➢ 7 metres at 5.9% zinc equivalent from 102 metres (LLRC218 – Western Footwall resource); and

➢ 3 metres at 5.3% zinc equivalent from 134 metres (LLRC216 – Western Footwall resource)

Results outside current resource include:

➢ 13 metres at 8.1% zinc equivalent from 171 metres downhole (LLRC217 – Western Footwall Lode 2);

➢ 12 metres at 9.5% zinc equivalent from 68 metres (LLRC216 – Western Footwall Lode 2);

➢ 7 metres at 5.9% zinc equivalent from 102 metres (LLRC218 – Western Footwall Lode 2);

➢ 4 metres at 10.1 g/t gold from 88 metres (LLRC220 – WF to NQ gold trend);

➢ 4 metres at 13.9 % zinc equivalent from 148 metres (LLRC219 – Lower West Carrington); and

➢ 4 metres at 8.4% zinc equivalent from 156.0 metres (LLRC204 – Lower Carrington).

Drill program

The drill program targeted areas on the edge of the resource that required more data.

This program also targeted areas that required sterilisation for possible infrastructure placement.

Data to support the modelled surface weathering profile was collected and samples were selected for metallurgical investigations.

Due to the stacked nature of the mineralisation, many holes intersected multiple lodes and are reported by lode area.

New Queen Sulphide

Two holes targeting the Main Lode Oxide were extended through the New Queen Sulphide area and the results validate the modelled mineral resource thickness and grade in this area.

Western Footwall resource extension

Red River drilled 11 holes in the Western Footwall area, with three deep holes targeting the Western Footwall inferred mineral resource.

These holes returned positive results on the Western Footwall lode.

Carrington

Red River drilled two shallow holes, LLRC209 and LLRC210, along strike to the west of the historically mined Carrington lode.

These detected weak transitional and oxide mineralisation, confirming the trend of the system.

Two holes, LLRC204 and LLRC219 targeting the Main Lode Oxide and New Queen-Western Footwall Gap position were extended to intersect the Carrington lode.

These holes demonstrated typical copper dominated Carrington style mineralisation on the Carrington lode.

To date, no Carrington lode mineralisation is included in the Liontown mineral resource.

Liontown Main Lode Sulphide

The tail of LLRC220 tested 30 metres to the west of the currently defined Main Lode mineral resource.

The tail of LLRC223, LLRC224 and LLRC225 targeting the New Queen Gold Oxide were extended to pass through the upper western edge of the Main Lode Sulphide.

These holes returned narrow moderate results similar to support the model in this area.

Main Lode Gold Oxide drilling

Five shallow drill intersections were achieved through and around the Main Lode Gold Oxide inferred mineral resource area. The intersections build on the current interpretation and understanding that the weathered cap of the Main Lode extends to near surface and maintains moderate gold content.
