Made.com CEO steps down due to family obligations

Chief operating officer Nicola Thompson will immediately step in as interim CEO of the online retailer

Made.com Group PLC (LSE:MADE) chief executive officer Philippe Chainieux is stepping down less than a year after the online furniture company floated in London, for family reasons.

Current chief operating officer Nicola Thompson will immediately step in as interim CEO of the retailer.

"I have to pause my professional activities to take care of my family," said Chainieux, who has been with the firm for the past nine years.

Thompson has more than 20 years of retail experience, and over 10 years of experience leading international companies in high-growth e-commerce, Made said.

Since September 2019, she has served as the company's COO, helping to formulate its strategy.
