Alpha Growth PLC (LSE:ALGW, OTCQB:ALPGF), a financial services specialist in the growing longevity asset class, has appointed Mark Ward as a strategic advisor to the company.
Ward founded Hunter Macdonald, a technology services provider in 2013, and led its growth to roughly 500 employees globally.
It also had large private and public sector clients, including the Ministry of Defence and Rolls-Royce, a statement said.
In 2017, his company was recognised as the UK’s fastest-growing IT Service company by the Sunday Times Tech Track, achieving compounded annual growth of 273% over three years.
Prior to founding Hunter Macdonald, Ward held senior director roles at technology companies such as Verizon and BT, as well as FTSE100 company Friends Life and professional services firm PwC.
“He has a huge amount of experience scaling successful businesses and his background in M&A, technology transformation, communications and digital marketing will be invaluable as we progress a number of our key strategic growth initiatives in both our fund and insurance segments,” said executive chairman Gobind Sahney.
“I'm very excited about the future potential of the company and I am looking forward to working with the board as we continue to grow the business and execute upon our already successful buy and build strategy,” Ward added.
Ward owns 20.8% of the issued shares, the statement said, and has chosen not to be compensated for this appointment.
