Graft Polymer says it has made significant progress since January's IPO

Following successful trials, it is gearing up for orders and has moved to a two-shift system at its facility in Slovenia

Graft Polymer PLC (LSE:GPL) said it is making strong operational progress following its main market listing in January.

Following successful trials, it is gearing up for orders and has moved to a two-shift system at its facility in Slovenia, which means it now has the capacity to turn out 4,000 tonnes of product per year. The addition of new equipment will take eventually output to 6,000 tonnes.

Graft said it had completed the expansion of its specialist facilities in Slovenia.

It is in the final stages of its Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point certification, while it continues to focus on improving its Good Manufacturing Practices status.

In the same announcement, investors were told has been awarded four patents over its technology by officials in Slovenia.

A further two patents are in the process of changing names to reflect their importance to the company’s research and development, investors were told.

This means the Graft patent estate will total seven separate elements of protection over its intellectual property.

The group is a specialist in polymer modification and the development of drug delivery systems.
