Uber Eats, Deliveroo PLC (LSE:ROO), Getir and Wm Morrison Supermarkets PLC (LSE:MRW) have temporarily suspended some delivery services in areas most affected by Storm Eunice.
The Uber Eats app states “Due to severe weather conditions we have temporarily paused the Uber Eats app in locations where a red weather warning is in place.”
Deliveroo has paused its deliveries in most red weather warning areas, including London, the southwest and parts of the southeast in the interest of its courier’s safety.
Supermarket Morrisons has continued delivering to homes, with drivers in smaller vans going slower which could cause delays. It has however suspended the use of its larger lorries in the red areas.
Grocery delivery firm Getir said it has suspended deliveries but would continue to pay its delivery couriers while the stormy conditions make it unsafe for them to work.

On the plus side, the strong winds have proved a boon to electricity produced through wind turbines.
Earlier today, wind was reportedly providing 42% of Britain's energy requirements, prompting a slide in energy prices on wholesale markets.
