Bam Bam Resources (CSE:BBR) Corp has revealed that an expanded soil sampling program is planned for its Majuba Hill porphyry copper project in Pershing County, Nevada.
The Vancouver-based company said the program is designed to expand on the “very encouraging results” reported from the 2021 soil sampling program, which increased the DeSoto Copper Oxide Target and the Copper-Gold Target zones. However, the anomalous areas are still open to the northeast at DeSoto and to the east of the Copper-Gold Target.
The company said the 2021 drilling was completed in both target areas and the porphyry copper geologic signatures identified in the core and reverse-circulation chips are "very encouraging."
Bam Bam said sampling is now planned to expand these zones as soon as the weather allows.
In a statement, Bam Bam Resources (CSE:BBR) president David Greenway said: "The very encouraging results from the newly-discovered DeSoto Copper Oxide and the Copper-Gold Target zones led us to roll out an expanded soil sampling program.”
He added: “The anomalous areas are still open to the northeast at the DeSoto and to the east of the Copper-Gold Target and I look forward to how much further this program will expand the already massive Majuba Hill copper, silver and gold district size asset."
Bam Bam’s flagship Majuba Hill copper, silver and gold district is located 156 miles outside Reno, in Nevada. Between 1907 and 1960, Majuba Hill produced 2.8 million pounds of copper and 184,000 ounces of silver. Bam Bam's project spans 4,822 acres of surface and mineral rights on the mountain and the company reckons there is far more metal to discover.
