GR Silver Mining (TSX-V:GRSL) Ltd has reported exploration results from its Plomosas silver project in Mexico, which have further underscored the potential for multiple vein systems within the 6,574 hectare (Ha) property.

The assays hail from the so-called Trampolin and Corta Pico vein systems, which lie between the Plomosas and Loma Dorada systems, and results confirm two gold-rich systems with potential for higher-grade gold and silver mineralization at depth.

Results from Trampolin included an intercept in one hole of 12 metres (m) at 0.64 grams per ton (g/t) gold and 2 g/t silver, starting from a depth of 70m. Meanwhile, surface channel results from Corta Pico returned highlights including 0.4m at a grade of 9.70 g/t gold and 44 g/t silver from a depth of 12.6m and 4.5m at 2.50 g/t gold and 57 g/t silver from 2.8m.

"The abundance of unexplored veins on surface, in parallel structures close to our existing resource areas, continues to underline the potential for multiple vein systems within the Plomosas project," said GR Silver CEO Marcio Fonseca in a statement.

"More importantly, these new discoveries serve to reinforce our exploration model and targeting strategy to continue to delineate multiple high-grade, precious metal veins with potential to add to future resource expansion. The Trampolin and Corta Pico targets are in the early stages of exploration and our team will continue to investigate their precious metal potential," he added.

GR noted that the Trampolin vein system could be considered the north-east extension of the San Juan vein system, expanding the footprint of gold mineralization over 1,300m to the north-east.

The Corta Pico vein system lies 800m east of the Trampolin vein system and consists of NE-SW to E-W trending veins, the company added.

Mineralization at both Trampolin and Corta Pico remains open along strike and down dip, it said.

GR Silver's 6,574 hectare Plomosas silver project is within 5 kilometres of the company's San Marcial silver project, in the Rosario district and is a past-producing asset, where only one mine operated from 1986 to 2001, producing about 8 million ounces of silver, 73 million pounds of lead and 28 million pounds of zinc.
