Radiopharm Theranostics Ltd (ASX:RAD) has provided details about a supply agreement it signed late last month with the Bill Gates-founded nuclear innovation company TerraPower for the supply of Actinium-225, used in the development of next-gen radiopharmaceuticals for cancer treatment.
Under this agreement, TerraPower’s subsidiary, TerraPower Isotopes, LLC, will supply Actinium-225 to RAD with the initial order expected to be placed between April and July 2022.
Notably, the Actinium-225 will be used in drug trials involving targeted alpha therapy in multiple disease areas.
In particular, Ac225 is planned to be deployed in the Phase 1 trial with RAD402 (Ac225-PSAmAb) in prostate cancer patients.
Agreement details
The supply agreement is for an initial period of three years and may be extended for a further two successive 12-month periods unless agreed otherwise by either party.
All data generated and all inventions and discoveries made or conceived from the clinical trials shall be the property of Radiopharm as a client of TerraPower.
RAD’s costs associated with the purchase of Actinium-225 will be met from existing funds.
The effective date of the supply agreement is January 31, 2022, and there are no material preconditions.
Furthermore, cancellation provisions are at industry standard rates.
