Aldoro Resources Ltd (ASX:ARN) is encouraged by results from the Niobe Project, where it is prospecting for lithium and rubidium, with intersections of pegmatites confirming historical drilling and exceeding expectations.
During this third phase of the campaign, the company has drilled a further 13 reverse circulation (RC) holes, which brings the total drilled to 45 to date.
All 13 holes intersected pegmatite intervals at multiple intervals below the surface.
The best of these is highlighted by two intersections recording 17-metre thickness of pegmatite, one with 18 metres of pegmatite and an exceptional 26 metres of pegmatite recovered from one hole.
All intersections are routinely scanned at one-metre intervals with a portable XRF (pXRF), to obtain real-time data and to aid fast-track interpretation and in-field planning. The pXRF results will be reported as they come to hand.
Progression towards JORC resource
The company is awaiting assay results to confirm the lithium and rubidium grade of the intersected pegmatites.
The full results of these holes will be announced when geological logs, systematic pXRF readings, and quality assurance and control (QAQC) checks have been finalised.
In the meantime, the drilling program will continue in the hopes of estimating a JORC 2012 reportable mineral resource.
Once the Niobe drilling program is done, the RC rig will mobilise to the Wyemandoo Project, where an extensive greenfields pegmatite drilling campaign is planned.
