Electra Battery Materials CEO Trent Mell joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share news the company is updating construction on North America's only battery grade cobalt refinery. Mell confirming that the project remains on budget of 84 million Canadian and on schedule to start in December of this year. Mell telling Proactive Detailed engineering for the new Solvent Extraction plant is 60% complete, with construction of the new solvent extraction building and crystallization facility is scheduled to start at the end of Q1. The major mechanical installations and overland pipe installations forecast to start in Q2.
