Infield Minerals set to outline this year's exploration plans as it reports drilling and sampling results from M1 project

Five reverse circulation (RC) holes were sunk at the M1 North Zone, for around 901 metres (m) at the project last year, while four rock grab samples were collected from the historical workings dumps at the Central Zone

Infield Minerals Corp has told investors it will soon outline this year's exploration plans as it reported drilling and sampling results from 2021 work at its M1 property in White Pine County, Nevada.

Five reverse circulation (RC) holes were sunk at the M1 North Zone, for around 901 metres (m) at the project last year, while four rock grab samples were collected from the historical workings dumps at the Central Zone.

In terms of the drilling, assays included 0.29 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 8.2 g/t silver over 7.6m in one hole, starting from a depth of 7.6m.

In another hole 23.1 g/t silver and 0.61 g/t gold were intercepted in a length measuring 1.6m starting from 9.1m depth.

Infield said it believes the 2021 drilling campaign has sufficiently tested the North Zone of the property and noted that the mineralization "appears to be limited to near surface".

Highlights from the 2021 rock grab samples were 2.60 g/t gold and 455 g/t silver in one sample and 0.52 g/t gold and 1,782 g/t silver in another.

In a statement, Evandra Nakano, the CEO of the company, said: "Infield is currently assessing all of our 2021 exploration results from across our project portfolio, and we will be sharing our 2022 exploration campaign plans in the near term."

The M1 property sits around 30 kilometres southwest of the Kinsley Mountain deposit (New Placer Dome) and in 2020, Infield struck a property option agreement to acquire 100% interest in M1 over three years.

The company also owns 100% of the Desperado project, 40 km east of Tonopah in Nye County within the Ellendale mining district, which is home to high-grade gold-silver epithermal style mineralization.
