Sipa Resources readies for aircore drilling at Skeleton Rocks

“We are excited to see the results from our imminent drill program, and appreciate the support of the WA Government’s Exploration Incentive Scheme, which will significantly reduce the costs to complete it,” said MD Pip Darvall.

Sipa Resources Ltd (ASX:SRI) is gearing up for a drill campaign at its wholly-owned Skeleton Rocks Project in the West Aussie Goldfields.

The precious metals explorer recently doubled down on a series of drill targets at Skeleton Rocks following a rewarding auger soils program.

Sipa’s 4,000-metre aircore program will kick off next week and target untested greenstones along a major structure in the goldfields.

What’s more, the campaign is supported by the WA Government’s Exploration Incentive Scheme — a move that will reduce Sipa’s drilling costs by up to $128,750.

Sipa’s Skeleton Rocks Project covers outcropping and interpreted greenstone units prospective for gold, lithium and nickel-copper-platinum group element deposits with limited to no drilling ever completed in these areas.

Auger results

Sipa closed out its auger sampling program in late January and will use the findings to keep the drill bit spinning in Skeleton Rocks’ most prospective areas.

Initially, drill targeting was based on an aeromagnetic survey review, which pointed to untested greenstones along a major structure.

The interpreted zone of newly identified greenstone is mapped as sub-parallel to the highly mineralised Southern Cross greenstone belt, hosting significant gold and lithium deposits, and immediately adjacent to a major structure, the Koolanooka Fault.

Managing director Pip Darvall said: “This work has better defined the key targets to be tested at Skeleton Rocks, and confirmed our previous interpretations of buried greenstone units in a highly prospective setting.

“We are excited to see the results from our imminent drill program, and appreciate the support of the WA Government’s Exploration Incentive Scheme, which will significantly reduce the costs to complete it.”
