Darktrace lands 'multi-million dollar' cyber security contract

The unnamed customer employs 250,000 staff across over 70 countries

Darktrace has announced a million-dollar deal with an unnamed multinational electronics corporation to protect it from sophisticated cyber-attacks.

The customer, which Darktrace said employs 250,000 staff across over 70 countries, will deploy its Enterprise Immune System to interrupt potential cyber threats as they arise, while business operations continue as normal.

Poppy Gustafsson Darktrace’s chief executive, said: "Darktrace is thrilled to welcome this leading electronics corporation to its customer community.

“This industry brings together retail, manufacturing and technology, and is battling an evolving threat landscape as attackers continue to innovate.

“Darktrace's technology can not only detect threats but can fight back against them on an organization's behalf, empowering businesses to focus on doing what they do best."

Last month, the cyber security firm reported its customer base had risen by its customer base grew 40% in the first half of this trading year with 6,531 customers added.

On a constant basis, annual recurring revenues (ARR) rose 45% whilst overall revenue grew by 50%, it said.
