Animoca Brands Corporation Ltd subsidiary GAMEE has received a welcome boost to its coffers with a strategic investment of US$1.5 million from Binance Labs.
GAMEE is a high-engagement, play-to-earn mobile gaming platform that rewards players for their skill and effort.
Powered by the GMEE token, the currency of purchase and action for GAMEE products, GAMEE aims to introduce the benefits of blockchain to mainstream gamers.
The GMEE token was originally launched on Ethereum and bridged to Polygon and Binance Smart Chain.
Token-powered gaming
Arc8 and G-Bots are the newest blockchain gaming experiences powered by the GMEE token.
Arc8, which is played by 300,000 gamers each month and has introduced an e-sports approach to casual mobile gaming, has become one of the top Dapps on the Polygon network.
G-Bots are cross-platform NFTs that are upgradeable and ‘breedable’, which enhances the Arc8 experience for gamers.
Finance for product development
GAMEE CEO Bozena Rezab said: “We are very happy to welcome Binance Labs as a strategic investor to advance our growth and assist us in building the future of gaming, based on the true ownership of digital assets.”
The injection of funds from Binance Lab will be used to support the growth of GAMEE's blockchain gaming experiences, drive product development and decentralisation, where Arc8 is turning into a blockchain launchpad of play-to-earn.
