Doré Copper Mining expands copper-gold mineralization at Corner Bay project with drilling

"With these impressive high-grade copper intercepts, which are much higher than the approximate 3% average copper grade of the deposit, we have now defined a very high-grade zone of approximately 150 meters in length by 250 meters vertical

Doré Copper Mining Corp has reported the latest drill results from its flagship Corner Bay property in Québec, which expanded copper-gold mineralization in two areas of the deposit and showed high grades.

The assays hail from five holes, into the main vein above dyke and between the main vein and deep lens, from the 41,063 meter (m) drill program in 43 holes last year at the asset.

The work successfully expanded the copper-gold mineralization at Corner Bay in three areas, bringing the total strike length to over 1,100m, noted the company.

"With these impressive high-grade copper intercepts, which are much higher than the approximate 3% average copper grade of the deposit, we have now defined a very high-grade zone of approximately 150 meters in length by 250 meters vertical within a key area of the deposit," said Ernest Mast, CEO of Doré Copper in a statement.

"The addition of this zone and the recently announced zone connecting the Main Vein below the dyke to the Lower Deep Lens is expected to add at least 1 million tonne to the current high-grade mineral resources and enhance our hub and spoke operation model with Corner Bay as its main mine," Mast added.

The latest drill highlights included 3.9m starting from 673.7m of 8.03% copper, 0.86 grams per ton (g/t) gold, 42.1 g/t silver, and 1,109 parts per million (ppm) molybdenum (moly) in one hole at the main vein above dyke.

Between the Main vein and Deep lens, intersected was 1.85% copper, 0.29 g/t gold, 3.9 g/t silver and 614 ppm moly over a width of 2.8m from 1,149.5m depth.

Mast noted: "Our 2022 drilling program, already underway, includes approximately 45,000 meters of infill drilling at Corner Bay to upgrade the inferred resource to indicated resource for the feasibility study that will commence after the completion of the PEA at the end of Q1 2022."

According to an estimate in October 2021, the Corner Bay deposit contains an indicated resource of 2.66 million tonnes (Mt) at 2.68% copper and 0.26 g/t gold containing 157 million pounds of copper and 22,000 ounces of gold.

The inferred resource is 4.54 Mt at 3.20% copper and 0.27 g/t silver containing 320 million pounds of copper and 39,000 ounces of gold, based on a cut-off grade of 1.3% copper and a copper price of US$3.75 per pound.

Doré Copper Mining wants to be the next copper producer in Québec with a production target of over 50 million pounds (Mlbs) of copper equivalent annually by implementing a hub-and spoke operation model with multiple high-grade copper-gold assets feeding its centralized 2,700 tonnes per day mill.
