Enveric Biosciences (NASDAQ:ENVB) said that two new molecules, EV104a and EV104b, have been created to treat osteoarthritis (OA) along with other pain conditions and that pre-clinical in vitro testing is now underway.
The biotech recently licensed a platform technology from Diverse Biotech that has led to the successful synthesis of the two new chemical entity conjugates of cannabidiol (CBD) linked to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) celecoxib.
The two molecules are protected by a recently filed provisional US patent application claiming the compositions, methods of synthesis, and methods of treatment for inflammatory medical conditions, noted Enveric.

Despite available therapies, individuals with OA continue to suffer and look for new treatments to remediate their pain," said Dr Joseph Tucker, CEO of Enveric Biosciences (NASDAQ:ENVB).

Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis and a leading cause of disability, it added.
Enveric's EV104 program has entered pre-clinical testing to advance into clinical development with the hope of offering better options for patients living with pain.
