Bidstack Group appoints Silicon Valley veteran as new tech and product chief

Ames has over 25 years’ experience including 20 years in Silicon Valley with an influential profile and track record of building highly scalable companies with innovative data systems

Bidstack Group PLC (AIM:BIDS, OTC:FTBGF) appointed Glen Ames as chief technology officer (CTO) and chief product officer (CPO) as it mulls other applications for its software outside its core advertising focus.

Ames has over 25 years’ experience including 20 years in Silicon Valley with companies including Yahoo, AOL (NYSE:AOL), AT&T, Nortel, and Turn.

He has also worked with early-stage businesses, having sold two start-ups and worked for several pre-IPO high-growth companies, while he has 12 patents to his name.

More recently Ames spent five years as CTO/CPO at Captify Technologies, a growing digital media business with the largest independent publisher network in Europe, according to Bidstack, which highlighted that under his leadership the company built strong product, data analytics, and engineering teams across multiple regions.

Ames has an influential profile and track record of building highly scalable companies with innovative data systems, Bidstack added.

"Glen joins us, with over 25 years' experience of building out product and technology teams for some of the biggest names in the advertising and enterprise platform industries,” said chief executive James Draper.

The native in-game advertising group said the appointment will allow Francesco Petruzzelli to move to his new position as managing director from CTO to focus on the company’s relationships with key customers, including with Azerion and key publishers.

“It has become clear that whilst we began in pure advertising technology, there are other applications for our software which we can now focus on,” Draper added.
