Oriole Resources PLC (LSE:ORR) said Eileen Carr, who has over 30 years of experience within the resources sector, will become its non-executive chair on 17 February.
“We look forward to working with her and, with Eileen's extensive experience of the mining industry and previous board positions, she will help us to continue the successful development of the company's portfolio," said chief executive Tim Livesey.
Carr will replace John McGloin, who is leaving the AIM-quoted West-African-based explorer for another role.
"The last three years have been transformational for the company,” Livesey added. “Our market capitalisation has more than doubled and we have also seen a significant advancement of our Senegalese asset, the development of our new frontier exploration targets in Cameroon and the rationalisation across the legacy assets leading to significant reductions in G&A.”
