Pets at Home Group PLC (LSE:PETS) announced the appointment of Lyssa McGowan as chief executive with effect from 1 June.
McGowan will be chief executive designate from 25 April, prior to her appointment, before taking over from current boss Peter Pritchard, who said in November he wanted to step down.
McGowan is currently Sky UK’s chief consumer officer, where Pets at Home noted that she has overseen more than US$10bn of revenue from over 10mln customers.
Her new FTSE 250-listed employer highlighted that she has been with Sky for 11 years, where she has grown various business units organically and through M&A, gaining broad experience of managing product-, service-and subscription-led businesses, introducing product and service innovations, omnichannel development, marketing, and customer experience excellence, and data and digital transformation.
“Lyssa brings strong corporate, strategic and operational expertise across a range of consumer-facing businesses, and a proven track record of growth at Sky, with significant experience in customer and digital-first initiatives across multiple channels and sites," said Ian Burke, chairman of the pet retailer.
