Tlou Energy Limited (AIM:TLOU, ASX:TOU, BSE:TLOU) has announced the construction of the transmission line for its gas-to-power project in Botswana is set to commence, adding that it has now been awarded a 10-megawatt generation licence.
The two are key milestones towards the completion and handover of the plant and, ultimately the first electricity sales, sometime in the second half of next year.
The overhead line will link the Lesedi operation to the grid100 kilometres away in Serowe, in the country’s Central District.
Work is being carried out with funding from the Botswana Public Officers Pension Fund.
