Chariot Ltd (AIM:CHAR, OTC:OIGLF)'s head of Transitional Power Benoit Garrivier joined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion with details of a new project in partnership with Total Eren which will see the joint venture partners develop solar power for Tharisa PLC (LSE:THS, JSE:THA)’s platinum mine in South Africa.
Garrivier telling Proactive that the partners have inked a memorandum of understanding with Tharisa which details plans to develop a solar photovoltaic project that will supply electricity to the mine.
It is expected to be a 40MWp project initially, with power demand expected to increase over the mine’s lifespan, he added.
