Aldoro Resources moves closer to mineral resource estimate after further drilling at Niobe

The drilling program will continue to completion, with the company aiming to deliver a JORC 2012-compliant mineral resource once all testing results are in.

Aldoro Resources Ltd (ASX:ARN) has confirmed 15 more holes have been drilled at its Niobe project, all with intersecting pegmatites.

It follows the completion of its Phase 1 drilling program at Niobe, targeting lithium and rubidium, whereby the company was highly encouraged by the results.

Phase II drilling shows promising results

The second phase of drilling at Niobe continues to bring encouraging results, with thick intersections of pegmatite confirming historical drilling.

The intersections continue to be as thick, or thicker, than previously thought. The location predictions have also been on point, with intersections being where the company predicted they would be.

Full details of the pegmatite intersections will be announced when detailed logging, portable X-ray fluorescence (pXRF), quality assurance and quality control checks are completed.

Mica species and looking ahead

Phase II of drilling also found an abundance of mica species which have been identified in geological logs.

This comes as good news for Aldoro, further propelling the ongoing drill program.

A pXRF program will also be conducted to fast-track interpretation and planning.

Every metre of RC drilling will be scanned, and readings will be reported as they are released.

The drilling program will continue to completion, aiming to estimate a JORC 2012-reportable mineral resource when all testing results have been received.

After this is completed, the RC rig will move to the Wyemandoo Project, where an extensive greenfields drill program has been planned.
