Love Hemp strengthens board to focus on main market listing

“Both individuals bring invaluable strength to the board as Love Hemp moves to the main market of the LSE and matures as a company”

Love Hemp Group PLC (AQSE:LIFE, OTCQB:WRHLF) has appointed two non-executive directors to enhance its governance in preparation for its intended move to the main market of the London Stock Exchange.

Garry Cook, formerly Manchester City Football Club’s chief executive, and Graham Mullis, recently retired chief executive of Novacyt, will both join the board on 14 February.

The CBD health and wellness company said the pair would help it develop a long-term strategy to drive shareholder value and build sustainable profits.

“Both individuals bring invaluable strength to the board as Love Hemp moves to the main market of the LSE and matures as a company,” Andrew Male, chairman, said.

As well as at Manchester City, Cook has a wealth of experience across sporting businesses, including as president of the Jordan brand at Nike and brand officer and head of international growth Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

He will provide a wealth of knowledge and insight to key growth strategies, Love Hemp said.

"Garry's undeniable track record of working with some of the biggest sporting clubs and brands will bring a wealth of knowledge and access to Love Hemp as we continue to utilise our partnerships with Anthony Joshua and the UFC,” Male commented.

As for Mullis, his track record in the healthcare industry includes experience in raising capital, M&A, and building value on multiple listed markets.

“Graham, having been a CEO of multiple successful healthcare companies, brings significant listed market experience to Love Hemp and international leadership that will support our future growth plans,” Male said.
