I(x) Net Zero wants to go public on AIM to offer sustainable investments

It will back businesses that are facilitating and accelerating the world’s move from fossil fuels to renewable energy, as well as companies that are building sustainable and affordable housing

A company going by the name of i(x) Net Zero PLC, which invests in energy transition and sustainable construction companies, has applied for an AIM listing.

The Jersey-based investment company, which is led by former Lazard family office chief Steven M Oyer, explained that its plan is to generate long-term capital appreciation for shareholders by creating, funding, partnering, and developing companies that are “committed to energy transition and sustainability in the built environment”.

In other words, it will back businesses that are facilitating and accelerating the world’s move from fossil fuels to renewable energy, as well as companies that are building sustainable and affordable housing, in particular honing in on reducing emissions and improving efficiency.

On its website, i(x) indicated that it has already made three investments in energy transition and three in sustainability in the built environment.

It may also consider investments outside those areas, such as ESG Risk Management, it said.

The level of funds to be raised has not yet been confirmed, though admission of the shares is expected in “early February”.
